Out & Out
YouTube series in collaboration with ASOS
Introduction
Out & Out was a YouTube series developed by ASOS and the Safe Space Alliance that explored what safe space meant to different people from LGBTQI+ communities worldwide.
This project formed part of a wider two-year partnership between ASOS and the Safe Space Alliance aimed at the sustainable growth of the Safe Space Alliance through helping to:
- Raise awareness of the Safe Space Alliance.
- Expand the Safe Space Alliance directory of safe spaces across as many locations as possible.
- Strengthen the safety interventions and support the Safe Space Alliance offers members.
Ultimately ASOS and the Safe Space Alliance wants everyone from LGBTQI+ communities to have access to safe spaces where they can fully be themselves. You can read more about this partnership here.

In this episode we welcomed Bad Education star Layton Williams. Layton spoke about why they are so focused on creating safe spaces for young people who want to get into the entertainment industry.

September, 2022
In this episode we welcomed The Receipts Podcast host Milena Sanchez. Milena talked through life as a bisexual woman and the importance of safe spaces for queer people.
Episode 4: Harriet Rose
October, 2022
In this episode we welcomed KISS FM DJ Harriet Rose. Harriet spoke about her safe spaces where she feels truly free to be herself.
Episode 5: Black Peppa
January, 2023
In this episode we welcomed drag queen Black Peppa. They spoke about their drag career, favourite outfits, and the significance of safe spaces for LGBTQ+ communities.

April, 2023
In this episode we welcomed Heartstopper’s rising star Bel Priestly. Bel spoke about her story so far and the importance of safe spaces for trans communities.

June, 2023
In this episode we welcomed singer and songwriter Girli. She spoke about exploring her sexuality and making a statement with fashion.

August, 2023
In this episode we welcomed professional footballer Jake Daniels who plays for Blackpool F.C. Jake spoke about fashion, the importance of safe space, and coming out to the nation.
